Weaver’s Echo

Ljubljana, SI 2025

Wool, cotton, audio cable, sound (mediaplayer and headphones)

200cm x 90xm

A textile residency’s project was to invite weavers and ask them to react to the work that the previous resident was making. Drawing on my previous sound and time related textiles, my idea was to ask the resident before me to record their weaving sounds so that I could weave them and implement the actual sound of the resident’s work via woven audiocable into my own weaving so that it would become an echo of the work that was made on the same loom before me.
